The Problem
How to leverage the collective influence and purchasing power of professional athletes for access to business development, financial education and investment opportunities. The Players Company (TPC) acts as the nucleus of a network of players, corporations and service providers dedicated to helping players build generational wealth.
The Product
The TPC team had a novel idea of creating a product that, based on the athletes preferences for financial risks, education and capability would intelligently provide them with opportunities and education to grow and better protect their assets. The TPC team approached OakTree Apps to create their flagship product from the ground up.
In order to achieve a personalized recommendation engine, the OakTree team had to write a properotry logic which intelligently determined which opportunites to make visible to a given user. There is also an custom admin dashboard availble for the TPC team to do bulk uploads, and handle their marketing and intake funnel.

The Tech Solution
Our team developed the flagship iOS mobile app written from the ground up in Swift, using Combine and SwiftUI framework. The app supports AES-256 encryption and biometric authentication to prevent unauthorized access to client system. The backend was built upon Laravel PHP framework using MySQL for database. The entire infrastucture is hosted on AWS (EC2 and RDS).
The app also supports authentication via Auth0 for Single Sign On purposes. In order to get quick feedback from the end user, Typeform has been integrated into the mobile app.
